Kythnos hotels

Being a touristic island, Kythnos has adequate accommodation to host all tourists even during peak season, i.e. from August 1st to 20th. That is when most of the tourists arrive. But even then, the island is never packed and you can still find some peace and quiet and enjoy your holiday far from "crowds". In other words, Kythnos is hardly ever crowded.

Perhaps this is why Kythnos has developed a unique combination of holiday accommodation, most of which being rooms, studios and apartments with fewer hotels. But if it is there that you must stay, you need to know that all of the hotels in Kythnos are located in the following 4 settlements: Messaria (Kythnos Town), Loutra, Merichas and Kanala.

With the exception of some of the hotels on Messaria, all other hotels on the island boast superb sea view, which is their most wonderful feature. Their other characteristics are simple, as they are built according to the traditional Cycladic style, blending wonderfully with the island’s architectural style.

Why choose to stay at a hotel on Kythnos? It is a great idea if you are interested in having certain amenities. Breakfast, for example is served on a daily basis. So, if this is an important factor for you, check out which of the hotels on Kythnos offers the best and richest breakfast and... there you are, you have your choice. If, on the other hand, it is the daily room service you are after or even the reception or the lobby, then do some searching but always keep in mind that almost all hotels in Kythnos are rather small in size and offer a limited range of amenities.

When searching among the various hotels on Kythnos island (and not that there are so many of them) it is wiser to choose the area of your preference and the distance from the beach and other holiday activities first. After all, it is the summer holidays we are talking about. An early booking is always the best solution. Although it is a fact that Kythnos never gets packed, no one can guarantee that you will find what you are looking for if you are a last minute traveller. Unless of course you are not so picky. You should also keep in mind that when vacancies run out, prices tend to rise. That is so the world over.
